Book Ecosystems

Book Ecosystem Visual(1)_edited.jpg

Our Goal

To build home libraries of 25 to 100 books per child, ensuring consistent access to reading materials beyond the classroom.

Vision

We envision communities where every child grows up surrounded by books and supported by a strong, vibrant library. By extending the library’s reach into everyday community spaces, book ecosystems create multiple, reliable touch-points where families naturally encounter books.

Approach

Aims to create meaningful, lasting impact through the following priorities:

Improve early literacy outcomes

Strengthen family engagement

Cultivate lifelong readers

Build sustainable, locally driven literacy infrastructure

Our Book Ecosystems

Our Book Ecosystems projects connect communities, educators, and partners to expand access to books, storytelling, and digital learning across diverse regions.

Program Highlights

We Need Your Support

To advance this proven model, we need support to fund the team that makes this work possible. The success of our federally funded Reading Nation Waterfall project shows what book ecosystems can achieve.

Your support helps us continue this vital work for the children who need it most. New Media Learning securely collects and administers funds for the Book Ecosystems Program. All donor-designated gifts are used solely to advance global book ecosystem work.
